Tucked inside the stone walls of this little miniature cottage a cheery fire glows in the hearth. Today is when the little fishing boats return with their catch of herring. The tired fishermen take the fish to market and select a few to take home for themselves. They haul their nets in to take home to clean and dry by the fire. So they can be inspected for any tears that need to be repaired.
Their wives, mothers, young sons and daughters, who do not fish, have been busy too. They have been preparing the fish to smoke or dry and making a hearty meal to celebrate the safe return of all the fishermen and their catch.
